Position: Full-Time (4 or 5 days/week)
Salary: £27,000–£30,000 per annum
Are you ready to lead with purpose and help shape a child's first experiences of the world? We are working with a newly opened nursery in Epping who are seeking a confident and passionate Preschool Room Leader to guide their preschool team and create a space where children feel safe, inspired, and ready for their next steps.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a room from day one, influence its culture, and lead with creativity and care.
About The Nursery
They are open all year round (excluding one week at Christmas and bank holidays), offering a nurturing, inclusive environment for children aged 0–5. Located within close proximity to the Central Line and offering parking, the setting is easily accessible for both commuters and local residents.
The Role
As Preschool Room Leader, you'll be responsible for leading the preschool room, planning engaging activities, and ensuring high standards of care and education. You'll work full-time across 4 or 5 days per week, with 9-hour shifts (including lunch) scheduled between 7am and 6pm.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the preschool room and supporting team members
- Creating a stimulating, age-appropriate curriculum
- Supporting children's school readiness and emotional wellbeing
- Building strong relationships with families and colleagues
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and EYFS standards

What They Are Looking For
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years
- Experience leading a room or mentoring colleagues
- Strong understanding of the EYFS and school readiness
- A warm, proactive, and collaborative approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check should you not have one already
