Role: IT Support Engineer Salary: 27,000 - 30,000 DOE Location: Sunderland GEM Partnership is delighted to partner with a leading engineering business in their appointment of an On-Site IT Support Engineer, who will provide IT support across all aspects of their business. The Role: Responsible for providing on-site desktop support for technical infrastructure for end users Advising and assisting users in solving problems related to software, hardware, networks and peripherals Install, upgrade, and maintain workstations, servers, networks, and peripheral equipment Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and profiles Monitor systems, perform regular backups, conduct security checks (firewalls), and manage IT inventory Resolve and escalate IT incidents and change requests Involvement in IT-related projects alongside typical day-to-day Support duties The Person: Previous similar experience in an IT Support role Ideally with a recognised IT-related qualification and an appetite to develop further Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Office 365 etc.) and operating system Good understanding of PC hardware Proven experience of server environments and Active Directory Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills Excellent communication skills, patience, and customer service skills This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a desire to be impactful to join an ambitious and rapidly growing business at an exciting time in their evolution.
