About Schoolreaders Schoolreaders is the UK''s largest in-school reading support charity, working with primary schools in every county in England. Our guiding belief is simple: every child should learn to read well. We recruit, train and support volunteers to provide free, weekly one-to-one reading support to children who need extra help. Role Description In this important role, you will help Schoolreaders grow income through community fundraising initiatives and delivering an exciting and expanding portfolio of events. This varied role combines creative promotion of fundraising opportunities, excellent supporter relationship management, and the planning and coordination of successful events. Whilst the position is based in Bedford, the remit of the position extends more widely across England. You will be a valued member of the team. Main Duties Support the Senior Relationship Manager to develop, deliver and evaluate a portfolio of community fundraising activities, fundraising events and stewardship events. Build relationships with schools, community organisations, clubs, groups, businesses and individuals to increase engagement, participation, fundraising opportunities and income.
