With a large in-house technology team, this role sits right at the heart of how that investment is forecast, accounted for and challenged. This is a hands-on assignment where you''ll take ownership of the capitalisation of internal development costs, build the finance models that show where resource is being deployed and what it delivers, and work with senior leaders to plan and control spend across the business. What you must bring A technology background: you''ve worked in a tech-led, digital or software business, or in the finance team supporting a large technology function, and you understand how a tech cost base is made up (delivery teams, engineering headcount, contractors, tooling and product roadmaps). Direct experience of managing the capitalisation of internal staff costs: you''ve owned the process. You know the accounting standards, how developer time is captured and allocated, and how it holds up under audit.
