Job TitleSenior Civil Engineer - Transmission andamp; Distribution (UK, Multiple Locations)LocationGlasgow/Birmingham/Hybrid (UK-wide flexibility) Travel: -10%The OpportunityWe''re looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to support the delivery of major Transmission andamp; Distribution (Tandamp;D) projects across the UK.This role offers the chance to lead civil design, work directly with key stakeholders, and contribute to the development of critical energy infrastructure.What You''ll Be DoingLead civil/structural design for power infrastructure projects (eg substations, foundations, site development)Deliver projects from concept through to detailed design and construction supportCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractorsReview drawings, specifications, and technical documentationSupport project planning including scope, budgets, and schedulesProvide technical guidance and mentor junior engineersContribute to bids, proposals, and business development activitiesEnsure compliance with UK standards and safety regulations (including CDM 2015)What We''re Looking ForEssential:Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)-7+ years'' experience in civil/structural designExperience working on infrastructure, utilities, or energy projectsStrong knowledge of UK design standards and regulationsProficiency with CAD/BIM and structural analysis toolsDesirable:Experience with UK power sector clients (eg National Grid, SSEN, SPEN)Experience in substation or Tandamp;D
