Senior Civil Engineer - Transmission & Distribution (UK, Multiple Locations)

We''re looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to support the delivery of major Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects across the UK.

This role offers the chance to lead civil design, work directly with key stakeholders, and contribute to the development of critical energy infrastructure.

• Lead civil/structural design for power infrastructure projects (e.g. substations, foundations, site development)
• Deliver projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Support project planning including scope, budgets, and schedules
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers
• Contribute to bids, proposals, and business development activities
• Ensure compliance with UK standards and safety regulations (including CDM 2015)

Essential:

• Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
• -7+ years'' experience in civil/structural design
• Experience working on infrastructure, utilities, or energy projects
• Strong knowledge of UK design standards and regulations
• Proficiency with CAD/BIM and structural analysis tools

Desirable:

• Experience with UK power sector clients (e.g. National Grid, SSEN, SPEN)
• Experience in substation or T&D projects
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it)
