Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Birminham with hybrid working (3 days in the office)

Salary: Up to 50k package benefits

Emtech are working with a medium size multi disciplinary Engineering Consultancy who are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The company have continued to do well over the last 12 months and have grown in staff numbers to almost 100 people.

They are currently working on a range of schemes across residential, retail, warehouses and commercial projects and are looking for someone to take a lead role of a sub team in the Birmingham division.

As a Senior Civil Engineer you will be expected to:

• Manage a number of projects at any one time, taking the lead role ensuring successful delivery
• Keen to make a difference within a growing team
• Estate road horizontal and vertical design to local authority or DMRB standards (S278 / S38 and private works)
• Junction design (roundabouts, traffic signals, priority and/or grade separated junctions etc)
• Design of external works to commercial developments (service yards, car parks etc)
• Drainage design to building regs and water company ''Sewers for Adoption'' standard (S104, S185 diversions etc)
• Civil 3D and Microdrainage experience would be beneficial
• Communicate with clients and represent the company at design team meeting
• Mentor junior staff and oversee some training and project workload

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take on a client facing role and get stuck into some exciting projects the company are involved with. You have to opportunity to progress to Associate level over the next few years and get involved with business development / fee proposals on behalf of the company.
