This will be an immediate start undertaking food hygiene inspections. The officer must be qualified in order to fulfil the full range of inspection criteria.

Expectation:

• A Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health or Higher Cert in Food Control or The Advanced Professional Certificate in Food Hygiene and Standards Control
• Drives
• Inspecting within the Borough at least 4 days a week
• Able to start within 2 weeks
• Uses own initiative
• Work their way through a back log of inspections and set targets
• Capture inspections adequately and give associated rating
• Record detail on Idox
• Work under pressure
• Can manage conflict
• Potential for evening and weekend work (negotiable)
