Hotel Front Office Supervisor , you will be responsible for managing the front desk team during daytime operations, ensuring all guest services are delivered to the highest standard. You will play a key role in supporting and training the front office staff, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out procedures, and providing a professional and welcoming atmosphere.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and support the front desk team during shifts, ensuring efficient check-in, check-out, and handling of guest inquiries.Lead by example, providing exceptional guest service and maintaining the hotels luxury standards at all times.Assist with training and development of front office staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.Resolve guest complaints and special requests promptly, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.Oversee the management of guest accounts, billing, and payment processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency using Opera (experience desirable).Collaborate with other hotel departments, including housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, to meet guest needs and ensure smooth operations.Monitor and maintain the presentation of the reception area, ensuring it reflects the luxury brand standards of Hotel Café Royal.Assist in conducting team briefings and handover meetings, ensuring effective communication between shifts.Support the Front Office Manager in implementing procedures and policies to enhance guest experiences.Monitor daily occupancy levels and manage room allocations efficiently, ensuring smooth operations and maximizing guest satisfaction.Requirements:Previous experience as a Front Office Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within a luxury hotel environment.Knowledge of Opera PMS is desirable; training will be provided for candidates with relevant hospitality experience.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.Flexibility to work shifts on a rota basis (4 days on, 4 days off, 12-hour shifts between 7 am and 11 pm).A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.The benefits:Pay of up to £35,000 including service charge and upsell incentivesAccess to heavily discounted friends and family rooms ratesTwo complimentary rooms nights per year (after 1 year of employment)Up to 50% colleagues discount in all our food and beverage outletsColleague wellness sessions in our Akasha spa each month including osteopath, podiatrist, yoga and fitness classes (as well as staff discounts on spa treatments)Regular social events, including our infamous Summer Party (August) and Black-Tie Annual Awards dinner (January)Christmas celebrations, including colleague lunch, childrens party and Christmas giftAutomatic membership of the companys life assurance scheme from day oneGenerous discounts on retail and dining in Central London through the West End Club appMental health support including Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and mental health champions in all departmentsA variety of external benefits including gym discounts and free eye testsCycle to work scheme and season ticket loanA wide range of both internal and external training and development programmes to support all of our colleagues career progressionThe usual bits and bobs such as free meals on duty, uniform laundry, pension and holiday
