Your new company An established and highly regarded organisation based in Oxford is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join its small, collaborative finance team.This is a broad and varied position offering considerable exposure across the finance function. It would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of day-to-day finance while working closely with a Financial Controller.Your new role As Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for a wide range of accounting and financial processes, including:Preparing month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliationsReviewing payment runs, bank reconciliations and accounting entriesSupporting accounts payable and sales invoicingPreparing VAT returns and other external/statutory returnsManaging and reviewing payroll processesOverseeing billing, payments and debtor processesSupporting the annual audit and liaising with external auditorsAssisting with departmental reporting and management accountsSupporting banking, credit card and payment administrationIdentifying opportunities to improve finance processes and controlsThe position provides an excellent opportunity to develop broader finance experience within a small team where you can make a visible contribution.What you''ll need to succeed You will have strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail, alongside experience of working within a finance environment.
