GCSE Maths and Numeracy Tutor - Halton

Location: Halton
Hours: 5-15 hours per week

Prospero Teaching is recruiting an enthusiastic Maths Tutor to deliver targeted support to learners who need additional help with mathematical understanding, numeracy and GCSE preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver personalised GCSE Maths and numeracy tuition.
Identify gaps in knowledge and develop targeted learning activities.
Support pupils with calculations, algebra, geometry and problem-solving.
Help learners develop effective revision and examination techniques.
Monitor progress and adapt sessions to individual requirements.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:
Strong subject knowledge across Maths and numeracy.
Experience teaching or tutoring secondary-age learners.
QTS, PGCE or equivalent qualification desirable.
Experience delivering catch-up or intervention sessions.
Excellent communication and explanation skills.

Essential Requirements:
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain the required clearance.
Two professional references.
