Functional Skills and GCSE Maths Tutor - Southport

Location: Southport
Hours: 5-15 hours per week

Prospero Teaching is looking for a knowledgeable Maths Tutor to support learners working towards improved numeracy skills, Functional Skills qualifications and GCSE Maths outcomes.

The successful candidate will be able to deliver accessible, structured tuition that responds to different abilities and learning goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Functional Skills and GCSE Maths tuition.
Support learners with number, percentages, fractions and algebra.
Develop problem-solving and mathematical reasoning skills.
Identify gaps in understanding and provide targeted intervention.
Track progress and adapt lessons to support individual development.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:
Experience teaching or tutoring Maths.
Knowledge of Functional Skills and/or GCSE Maths.
Relevant teaching qualification desirable.
Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly.
A supportive and encouraging approach.

Essential Requirements:
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain the required clearance.
Two professional references.
