Direct Marketing Manager

ST TALENT are recruiting for a Direct Marketing Manager on behalf of an established business operating within the construction sector.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role for someone who knows how to turn direct marketing into genuine sales opportunities. The main focus will be on outbound campaigns, using email, LinkedIn and direct mail to engage targeted prospects, generate new enquiries and provide the Business Development team with warm leads to follow up.

You''ll take ownership of direct marketing activity across the UK and Europe, from customer acquisition and lead generation through to retention and reactivation. Working closely with the sales team, you''ll be responsible for developing campaigns that deliver measurable results, rather than simply generating clicks and engagement.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver targeted, multi-touch B2B marketing campaigns across email, LinkedIn and offline channels.
• Build prospect lists, segment audiences and develop messaging tailored to different sectors, regions and customer groups.
• Work closely with Business Development and Sales to generate qualified leads, arrange meetings and improve conversion rates.
• Write engaging, commercially focused copy for campaigns, sales collateral, landing pages, mailers and customer communications.
• Develop campaigns to attract new customers, nurture enquiries, follow up outstanding quotes and reactivate lapsed accounts.
• Track campaign performance from initial contact through to meetings, quotes and orders, using data to measure results and improve future activity.
• Manage and improve CRM data, segmentation, campaign tracking and lead attribution.
• Plan and deliver the marketing activity surrounding events, including pre-event outreach and post-event follow-up.
• Produce relevant sales-focused content, including case studies, blogs and industry guides.
• Support European campaigns, adapting messaging to suit different markets and audiences.
• Ensure direct marketing activity complies with relevant data protection and marketing regulations.

About you:

• You have proven experience in B2B direct marketing and can demonstrate the results your campaigns have delivered.
• You''re a strong copywriter who understands how to create messages that engage prospects and generate responses.
• You have hands-on experience with email marketing, LinkedIn outreach, campaign sequencing and audience segmentation.
• You''re commercially minded and motivated by generating enquiries, meetings and sales opportunities.
• You''re confident working closely with sales teams, taking feedback and adapting campaigns to improve results.
• You have experience using CRM systems and understand the importance of accurate data and campaign reporting.
• You have a good working knowledge of UK GDPR and PECR as they apply to direct marketing.
• You''re organised, proactive and comfortable managing several campaigns at once.

Experience within construction, civils, utilities or a similar B2B environment would be advantageous, as would experience of European marketing campaigns, event-led lead generation or Zoho CRM.
