This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in improving housing standards, supporting enforcement activity, and helping the authority prepare for new legislative changes, including the implementation of the Renters'' Rights Act 2025.you will be responsible a range of private sector housing enforcement functions, including: Carrying out Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) inspections.Serving Improvement Notices and undertaking housing enforcement activities.Managing Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) licensing.Issuing civil penalties and supporting legal prosecutions where required.Supporting and mentoring housing trainees within the team.Assisting with the implementation of new housing legislation, including the Renters'' Rights Act 2025 and associated regulatory requirements.Contributing to the council''s commitment to maintaining high housing standards and regulatory compliance.
