Digital Project Manager

• Location: London (Mainly Remote)
• Job Type: Part-time (3 days per week)
• Contract Duration: Until the end of March
• Salary: -550 per day (inside IR35)

We are seeking a Digital Project Manager to join our Digital Transformation team on a part-time, temporary basis. This role is crucial for driving organisational and cultural change, business process re-engineering, and spearheading digital transformation activities aligned with the Digital Strategy. The strategy aims to enhance the resident experience, empower the organisation, teams, and partners, and leverage data for greater collaboration.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

• Manage and deliver digital change projects across various functions, influencing new ways of working to achieve corporate or service objectives.
• Utilise change management techniques to build user confidence and commitment to new processes.
• Engage in consultation and communication tailored to different audiences to invigorate interest and effectively relay complex issues.
• Design engagement opportunities with customers and the Voluntary and Community Sector to drive service improvement and ensure service delivery meets local needs.
• Implement new systems and technologies, managing stakeholders to ensure project targets, timescales, and budgets are met.
• Provide organisational expertise in service transformation, process improvement, and business change management.
• Lead and manage staff to achieve high performance and effective operational delivery, ensuring the council''s vision, values, and ethos are central to the service requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Comprehensive understanding of current policy issues facing local government and extensive knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Proven experience in leading cultural change in a large, complex organisation and using systems and technologies to improve service delivery.
• Demonstrable experience in digital transformation activities to maximise digital inclusion.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage projects using project methodologies and matrix management of project teams.
• Influential communication skills, capable of engendering commitment across all organisational levels.
• Ability to research, analyse, and interpret complex data to present robust options for improvement or change.

1. Must be able to manage digital change projects across strategic, frontline and support functions and influence new ways of working to achieve user adoption of the new system
2. Must have prior experience working with IDOX as a company
3. Must be able to use a range of change management techniques to hold the Supplier to account, mitigate risks, escalate issues and identify workarounds where solutions cannot be found
4. Must have prior experience of managing a large scale cloud migration including project planning, comms, stakeholder management for IT processes, downtime and hypercare
5. Must be able to manage and support system users as they navigate user adoption training, system downtime and the smooth transition over to the new system.
