Production Supervisor

Location: Leamington Spa
Contract Basis: Permanent

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience  

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead, organise and motivate a manufacturing workforce within a dynamic production environment. This Production Supervisor role is central to ensuring customer satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality products, on-time performance, and the consistent achievement of operational KPIs.

The Production Supervisor will take ownership of health and safety standards, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring all production processes operate efficiently and in full compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

 This role will:

• Lead a key operational area with direct impact on performance and customer satisfaction
• Influence and develop production teams to achieve measurable results
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within a structured manufacturing setting
• Play a pivotal role in delivering operational excellence and business performance

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety programmes, emergency procedures, and safe systems of work
• Plan and implement effective utilisation of manpower and equipment to achieve production targets
• Ensure all production and quality processes are adhered to and continuously improved
• Train, motivate, and develop team leaders and production operators, maintaining accurate work instructions and training records
• Manage timekeeping, attendance, disciplinary investigations, probation reviews, and employee dialogue meetings
• Liaise with customers as required to maintain excellent service levels and professional relationships
• Prepare management reports and drive performance against agreed KPIs and operational objectives
• Lead and contribute to structured continuous improvement programmes
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards across the production environment
• Ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in all aspects of the role

Requirements Of The Role

• NVQ Level 3 in Manufacturing or equivalent experience
• Proven leadership experience within a production or manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of health and safety systems within a production setting
• Demonstrable ability to motivate teams, manage conflict and handle disciplinary processes
• Resilient, assertive and able to manage challenging situations objectively and effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills with a process-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach
• Goal-oriented with the ability to use personal initiative and drive continuous improvement
