What will you do as a Head of Year?Pastoral Support:To encourage pupils'' engagement with the education process by supporting behaviour for learningTo follow up concerns about behaviour of the pupils in the Year GroupTo attend meetings and contribute to the work of the Pastoral Support TeamContributing to the whole School Improvement Plan in conjunction with the Pastoral LeadDeveloping, building and maintaining relationships with outside agenciesAttendance and Welfare:Close liaison with the academy''s attendance officer, as well as working with the wider pastoral teamTo conduct welfare check visits, as requiredTo maintain accurate records of all actions taken in relation to improving students'' attendanceDeveloping and managing systems for the monitoring and tracking of students out of lessonsBehaviour:Maintain and improve behaviour management standards of some children, some of whom can be challenging and display challenging behaviourTo ensure all pupils in the Year Group
