Youth Support and Development Worker - Children and Families Services
Young Hackney provides access to universal and targeted youth work programmes for children and young people aged 10-19 years (or up to 25 years with SEND). Our Services are embedded in the community and delivered through a network of youth hubs and via community settings. Our projects and interventions enable young people to build positive relationships with their peers, families, schools and the wider community; raising aspirations, encouraging active citizenship and leadership and supporting the prevention of youth crime. Our purpose is to have a positive impact on young people''s adolescent development and transition to adulthood; improving their life opportunities through accessible services for all, whilst targeting the most vulnerable. Your communication skills, energy and professional approach will enable you to quickly establish positive rapport with young people and stakeholders. With experience in the delivery of tailored interventions, targeted group work and open access youth work, you will be committed to improving young people''s well-being and addressing concerns such as crime, educational engagement or sexually harmful behaviour. For all Youth Support and Development Worker roles a professional or occupational qualification (e.g. youth work, teaching, social work, or health) is desirable, with evidence of continuing professional development.
