Senior Chartered Building Surveyor
Chartered Senior Building Surveyor
London | Property & Building Consultancy | Up to -65,000 + Benefits
Looking for a senior Building Surveying role where your experience is valued, your client relationships matter, and you can genuinely influence the direction of your career? This could be the opportunity for you!
I''m working with a well-established national property and building consultancy with almost 80 years of experience and a strong reputation across the UK. Despite their national presence, they''ve retained a personal, partner-led approach, with collaborative teams and a culture that puts people and long-term client relationships first.
Their Building Consultancy team is around 100 strong, including a specialist Building Surveying team spread across eight UK offices. They''re now looking to strengthen their London operation with an experienced Chartered Senior Building Surveyor who can bring strong professional expertise and take ownership of their own clients, projects and career progression.
The Role
This is a genuinely varied professional Building Surveying position, giving you the opportunity to work across a broad range of instructions rather than being tied to one particular service line.
You could be involved in:
- Technical Due Diligence (TDD)
- Building surveys and defect diagnosis
- Dilapidations
- Planned and preventative maintenance
- Portfolio and estate management
- Neighbourly matters
- Expert witness work
- Project and refurbishment advice
- Client relationship management and development
The project portfolio is equally varied, ranging from smaller professional instructions through to multi-million-pound commercial and industrial schemes.
Across the wider team, sectors include commercial, retail, automotive, industrial, public sector and residential, with clients ranging from major retailers and property companies to public-sector organisations and specialist automotive businesses.
What They''re Looking For
You''ll ideally be an MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor with around 4-6 years'' PQE, backed by a strong professional Building Surveying background.
Experience across areas such as TDD, dilapidations, defect diagnosis and portfolio work would be highly advantageous.
More than anything, they''re looking for someone who enjoys the professional side of Building Surveying and is confident dealing directly with clients.
You''ll need the technical knowledge to deliver high-quality work, but also the communication skills and commercial awareness to build relationships, identify opportunities and become a trusted adviser to clients.
Why Join?
This is a great opportunity to join a business that offers the scale and variety of a national consultancy without the feel of a huge corporate organisation.
The teams are partner-led, offices work closely together, and there''s a genuine emphasis on collaboration and supporting each other.
There is also plenty of scope to progress. As the business continues to grow, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility, develop key client relationships and potentially play a role in shaping and growing the professional Building Surveying service.
You''ll also benefit from:
- Hybrid working
- Car allowance
- Pension scheme
- Annual bonus, with employees sharing in company profits
- Gym membership discounts
- Birthday day off
- Wellbeing days
- Plus a wider range of employee benefits
The Opportunity
If you''re an MRICS Building Surveyor with a strong professional background and you''re ready for a senior position where you can take ownership, build lasting client relationships and have genuine influence, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
A senior role, a varied workload and a consultancy where you can make your mark.
