Court of Protection Solicitor, Sale and Manchester A new opening has been created within our regarded Court of Protection team. This role would be ideal for a qualified solicitor or legal executive to manage client matters and provide a high level of client care whilst maintaining adherence to our National Practice Standards. An outline of the role includes:2yrs PQE+ or equivalentCourt of Protection experience is essentialDraft applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of deputies for property and affairsWork on statutory will applicationsWork on gift applicationsPrepare annual OPG accountsLiaising with Investment Managers and Financial PlannersOrganise the purchase of properties and adaptations to meet client needsDemonstrate In depth knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005Work in accordance to the Professional Deputy StandardsAbility to adjust approach according to capacity level of clientAchieve agreed financial objectives and achieve agreed non-financial objectivesManage relationships with internal and external parties to ensure matters are dealt with in the appropriate way The conduct of matters on behalf of clients in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standardsSupervision of fee-earning work undertaken by junior colleaguesParticipation in marketing activities whether on a firm wide, departmental or office basis Ensure good working relationships with external third parties, institutions and organisations For more information on this role
