JTA Residential Care is an Ofsted-registered children s home in Plaistow. We re looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker (Senior RSW) to join our close-knit team at Jericho House and play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive. Senior Support Worker- What you ll be doing: Lead the shift act as the senior practitioner on duty, allocating tasks, modelling best practice and ensuring consistent, child-centred care. Key working and care planning take responsibility for individual children, write and review placement and risk management plans, and keep meticulous records. Behaviour support use trauma-informed approaches, de-escalation techniques and restorative practice to help young people manage big feelings safely. Safeguarding champion spot, report and act on any safeguarding concerns immediately, following JTA and statutory procedures at all times. Mentor junior staff coach new and developing RSWs, contribute to supervisions and promote an open, reflective learning culture. Partnership working liaise with families, schools, social workers, CAMHS and other professionals to keep children s plans on track. Hous
