This role involves providing high-quality guidance on employee recruitment, retention, evaluating performance, and maintaining employee relations. As the first point of contact for managers and employees on any ER issues, this position is crucial for fostering a supportive and compliant workplace. Day-to-day of the role: Provide advice, guidance, and coaching to managers and colleagues across the company on ER and people matters. Review and draft UK HR policies for approval, ensuring alignment with current legislation and our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion. Lead capability investigations, including grievance, disciplinary, and performance issues. Assist managers with managing persistent and long-term sickness absences. Collaborate with the global HR team to update and manage the global appraisal system on HRIS. Manage staff relationships, respond to queries or problems, and manage expectations. Advise managers on recruitment and selection strategies and train hiring managers on candidate interview evaluation techniques. Review and update job descriptions, conduct exit interviews, and provide analysis of trends. Prepare costings for inclusion in the global training budget for review and approval.
