We''re currently recruiting for a Temporary Environmental Health Technical Support Officer to join a busy and professional Public Protection team in Crawley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service experience who is looking to develop a career within Environmental Health and Licensing. Required start date: 9th November 2026 Hours of work: 21.5 per week Rate of Pay: £35.00 per hour Contract duration: 19 weeks Key responsibilities include: Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face. Processing and allocating service requests to the relevant teams. Providing administrative support across Environmental Health and Licensing services. Assisting with the processing of licence applications, permits, and regulatory documentation. Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems. Supporting pest control services, including bookings and customer communications. Preparing correspondence, reports, and consultation documentation. Assisting with complaints, information requests, and general departmental projects. We''re looking for candidates who have: Experience in at least one of the areas covered by the Environmental Health Team. CIEH Basic food hygiene certificate or equivalent in another area, such as licensing or pollution control. Understanding of procedures used for licensing of premises and regulated entertainment.
