team – the i paper’s best-selling print edition.This is a rare opportunity to help shape the agenda of a national newspaper that prides itself on accuracy, clarity, and independence. The successful candidate will deliver high-impact features and lifestyle content that distinguish iweekend from its competitors.You will work across a broad brief and play a key role in commissioning and editing across our weekend output, with a particular focus on the 7 Days supplement.We’re looking for an experienced journalist with sharp instincts, clean copy, and a keen sense of what matters to modern weekend readers.Responsibilities

Write standout features, interviews and news-led reports that help define the tone and authority of iweekendPitch original cross-platform ideas with strong angles that reflect i’s values of clarity, depth, and accessibilityWork closely with editors to develop fresh, agenda-setting content across a wide range of topicsCommission and edit freelance contributors, ensuring consistency of tone, accuracy, and flairContribute ideas for cover stories and support the team in shaping the overall edition each weekCollaborate across departments to ensure stories resonate on all platformsEnsuring print output is mirrored across digital platformsUphold i’s commitment to impartial, high-quality journalismQualifications

Experience writing and editing features for a national newspaper or magazineA strong track record of producing engaging, well-researched features and interviewsExcellent editorial judgment and a strong nose for the kind of stories that drive weekend readershipVersatility and the ability to write across a range of topicsA clear, accessible writing style and attention to detail under pressureExperience in digital publishing, and a willingness to learn and embrace new methods of storytellingAn understanding of the i paper’s voice and values, including a commitment to impartialityAn ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced editorial environmentStrong organisational and planning skillsPackage Description
