Berkeley Scott are recruiting experienced Chef Managers for agency opportunities across Coventry, working with schools and contract catering sites.

Weandrsquo;re looking for reliable, experienced and passionate chefs who are confident running a kitchen, leading a team and producing fresh, high-quality food in a busy catering environment.

The Role

As a Chef Manager, youandrsquo;ll take responsibility for the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, service, hygiene and safety are maintained.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality meals
• Leading, motivating and supporting the kitchen team
• Following menus, recipes and catering requirements
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising food waste
• Ensuring food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures are followed
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen
• Supporting the wider catering operation
• Ensuring meals are delivered on time and to a high standard
• Creating a positive dining experience for students and staff

Key Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, Sous Chef or Senior Chef
• Experience leading or supervising a kitchen team
• Contract catering or education catering experience is highly desirable
• Food Safety Level 2 certificate
• Food Allergen Awareness certificate
• Good knowledge of food safety and allergen procedures
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to confidently manage a busy kitchen
• Reliable, professional and flexible approach
