A leading and well established building services engineering consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join its growing mechanical design team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Mechanical Engineer to work on a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects across sectors including commercial, residential, retail, education, and mixed-use developments. The successful candidate will become part of an experienced engineering team delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-quality mechanical building services solutions. The successful candidate will have practical experience within a building services consultancy environment, with proven experience using IES Virtual Environment (IESVE) for building performance analysis, energy modelling, and thermal simulations. Key Responsibilities: Deliver mechanical building services designs across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, retail and educational projects. Develop mechanical design strategies, specifications, and technical reports. Design and coordinate HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, and domestic water systems. Carry out mechanical calculations including heating loads, cooling loads, ventilation requirements, and equipment sizing. Use IESVE software to undertake energy modelling, thermal analysis, overheating assessments, daylight studies, and building performance evaluations.
