Position: SEN Teacher
Location: Stockport (SK6)
Pay: -170240 per day, depending on pay scale
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Are you an SEN teacher looking for a new role? We are working with a PRU in Stockport to recruit an experienced teacher to join their team from after Easter. This is a full-time, long-term contract.
As part of their team, you''ll work with enthusiastic learners who benefit from creative, flexible and relationship-focused teaching. Your role will be to help them access the curriculum, develop key skills and celebrate progress at every step of their learning journey.
We are looking for a SEN teacher who will:
- Deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual learning needs and SEMH priorioties
- Teach across a range of subjects - particuarly maths, English and life-skills - whilst adapting delivery to suit learners'' needs and abilities
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students
What we''re looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching SEMH or in specialist settings
- Strong understanding of SEMH, SEN, and positive behaviour strategies
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Highly organised, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching and pastoral care
- Passion for helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve their full potential
To Be Eligible You Must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or be willing to apply)
- Be able to provide two professional child-related references
