Vacancy Summary Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Type: Permanent Location: Suffolk Site Based (additional projects across Cambridgeshire) Start Date: ASAP Salary: c 70,000- 85,000 basic (DOE) plus competitive package inc car allowance, healthcare, pension. Company and Project: A Tier 1 Main Contractor with a healthy pipeline of work operating across Suffolk and the surrounding region are currently looking to grow their commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor. Our client has a busy order book and especially in the local market across multiple sectors including Defence. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working on projects in the Defence sector valued at c 2m- 15m, with a pipeline of future work exceeding 50m. Therefore, experience delivering projects within this sector and scale would be highly advantageous for this position. Duties and Responsibilities: End-to-end supply chain procurement, including scope definition, subcontractor selection, and tender reconciliation. Managing project budgets throughout the design phase in line with strict client constraints. Proactively identifying cost-saving opportunities and alternative construction methods without compromising quality or compliance. Quantifying and managing commercial risks tailored to defence and sensitive site environments. Coordinating with the design team to manage subcontractor fees and design liabilities.
