Domestic Abuse Officer
We''re recruiting for an experienced Domestic Abuse Officer to provide specialist support to individuals experiencing domestic abuse on behalf of our well-established social housing client. This is an ongoing, temporary role, working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, based in their St Helens office full time. Key responsibilities: Make initial contact with victims and carry out risk assessments to identify levels of need, providing initial advice and supportManage your own caseload and work collaboratively with other agencies, empowering clients to understand the dynamics of domestic abuse and regain control of their livesRepresent the group at MARAC, providing relevant case information Support target hardening to help client remain safely in their homes Develop safety and support plans in partnership with other agencies Identify and report safeguarding concerns for both adults and children using the multi-agency frameworkMaintain accurate records, including risk assessments, support plans and case notes Follow local referral pathways and connect individuals to specialist services for support What you''ll need to succeed Experience of working with individuals and families experiencing domestic abuse Understanding of domestic abuse legislation, risk assessment and best practice Experience of participating in MARAC, knowledge of safeguarding processes and multi-agency workingStrong case management skills, including assessment and support planning Ability to respond in cri
