Job Title: Domestic Abuse Support WorkerLocation: Wigan, Greater Manchester Hourly Rate: £17 - £18 per hour (Umbrella)Hours: Part time (25 hours per week) - Monday, Tuesday and Saturday Contract: TemporaryAbout the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and resilient Domestic Abuse Support Worker for our client, a dedicated domestic abuse charity in Wigan. You will provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse, helping them to increase safety, rebuild confidence, and move towards independent living.The role - Domestic Abuse Support Worker Provide one to one practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse.Carry out risk and needs assessments, including safety planning.Manage a caseload and maintain accurate, confidential records.Advocate on behalf of service users with external agencies (e.g. housing, police, social care).Support clients in accessing accommodation, benefits, legal advice, and other specialist services.Facilitate group support sessions and awareness workshops where appropriate.The Candidate We are looking for someone who:Has experience working with vulnerable adults or families (experience in domestic abuse services desirable).Demonstrates a strong understanding of domestic abuse, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice.Is confident carrying out risk assessments and safety planning.Has excellent communication and advocacy skills.Can work independently and as part of a multi - agenc
