Senior Mechanical Design EngineerAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established and growing manufacturing business operating within a high-volume production environment.This is a key position within the engineering team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of mechanical design projects, lead the development of bespoke machinery and automated production line solutions, and drive improvements across an established manufacturing operation within the FMCG sector.Working closely with engineering, production and manufacturing teams, you will play a leading role in delivering new equipment, machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects from initial concept through to manufacture and installation.The RoleLead the mechanical design and development of new machinery, processing equipment and automated production line solutions.Take ownership of projects from initial concept and detailed design through to manufacture, installation and commissioning.Design machinery modifications, retrofits and upgrades to improve equipment performance, reliability and efficiency.Produce and review detailed 3D models, 2D engineering drawings, machine Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production line schematics.Ensure designs are technically robust, cost-effective and suitable for manufacture, installation and ongoing maintenance.Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the engineering team.Work closely with ..... full job details .....
