I am recruiting TIG Welders for my client based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. This role is a temporary position but will lead to a permanent position for the right person. Immediate start. To weld/fabricate component parts and assemblies to agreed standards and Eng. drawings in various materials using TIG welding equip and techniques. To work to the specified quality and time standard. To perform quality assurance and product testing as directed by Company procedures. To perform other duties as directed which are compatible with the skills, knowledge and experience stated for this job, or for which training has been provided. Limits of Authority and Decision Making: 1. To stop production and seek advice if it is believed that product quality is compromised. 2. To stop production and seek advice if it is believed that Health and Safety is compromised. Working Conditions: General factory environment. Some manual handling and lifting of materials is required. Skills, Knowledge, Experience, Attitudes and Behaviors: Specialist skills: TIG welding of thin sheet metals including stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum. Familiar with general health and safety issues related to MIG and TIG welding. Knowledge and qualifications: Good spoken and written English and number literate. City and Guilds qualified welder.
