Salary: M1–UPS3 (£34,398–£52,490)
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in St Albans from September 2026. This full-time role offers the opportunity to inspire pupils at a crucial stage of their Key Stage 2 journey, helping them develop academically, socially and personally.
The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging and creative lessons, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and supporting every child to achieve their full potential.

- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants and parents/carers.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
- Uphold safeguarding and behaviour expectations at all times.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply and will be fully supported.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5, is desirable.
- Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A positive, proactive and reflective approach to teaching.
