Head of Regeneration

£600 per day

Full time – Hybrid

The postholder will lead and manage the Regeneration service for the Borough, with the primary aim of delivering economic outcomes by improving the quality of places through the delivery of the Council’s highly visible key priority projects.

The Head of Regeneration is a key role responsible for the development of regeneration strategies ensuring that the Council’s objectives are translated into effective and appropriate plans, programmes and projects that contribute to the successful delivery of inclusive economic growth and improved public spaces.

Main Duties:

• Substantial and successful direct senior management experience within the specialism of this post, including policy development, corporate/strategic planning and managing change.
• Experience of managing people effectively within a customer focused service delivery environment.
• Successful track record of communicating and working with stakeholders, partners and multi-agency working.
• Substantial experience and knowledge of current Local Government democratic processes and understanding of the political context.
• Successful budget management in a comparable organisation including evaluation of competing budgetary priorities within tight financial limits.
• Successful track record of performance management, service improvement and quality assurance processes in service delivery.
• Experience in delivering large complex capital projects and programmes of work, including the application of risk management in strategy, development and delivery.
• Experience of leading in complex negotiations and/or procurement related to land, property and regeneration.
