This is a unique opportunity for a commercially astute CFO to join an ambitious, scaling organisation that is in the Property Investor and Operator space based in Manchester. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, unlocking capital, and steering financial performance at scale. Lead commercial finance across the business, embedding financial insight into all commercial and operational decision-making.Partner with sales, operations, and product teams to shape pricing, contract terms, and go-to-market strategies that optimise profitability and margin growth.Analyse customer, channel, and product profitability to guide strategic decisions around pricing, product mix, and cost-to-serve.Challenge and support business leaders on investment cases, commercial initiatives, and performance delivery.Build financial frameworks for measuring ROI, enabling capital to be directed to the most value-accretive opportunities.Provide ongoing analysis of market dynamics and competitor performance to ensure the business remains commercially competitive.Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with both strategic objectives and commercial realities.Implement rolling forecasts that provide agility in a high-growth environment.Drive scenario-based planning to test commercial strategies, manage risks, and identify opportunities.Translate forecasts and budgets into clear, actionable KPIs for the business to deliver against.Own end-to-end financial reporting, ensuring the timely production of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.Deliver management accounts that go beyond reporting numbers, providing clear analysis of drivers, variances, risks, and opportunities.Lead the preparation of high-quality board and investor packs that combine financial rigour with commercial insight and forward-looking analysis.Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.Build scalable reporting frameworks and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into performance across the business.Drive consistency and accuracy across financial reporting, ensuring information is reliable and trusted by leadership, the board, and investors.Investor Relations and Partnerships
Act as a trusted partner to institutional investors, building long-term relationships through transparency, performance, and commercial clarity.Prepare and present board and investor packs that clearly articulate both financial performance and strategic vision.Serve as a credible communicator of business performance, growth opportunities, and risk management.Technology, Data and Automation
Champion the use of automation, modern finance systems, and advanced data analytics to deliver both efficiency and commercial advantage.Implement scalable tools that provide real-time visibility into sales, costs, profitability, and margins.Leverage data to uncover opportunities, optimise decision-making, and improve forecasting accuracy.Rapidly detect anomalies in data, investigate causes, and drive corrective action.Lead, mentor, and grow a small but high-performing finance team.Build a finance function that is commercial, proactive, and embedded across the organisation.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.Qualifications and Experience
ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant.Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader in a high-growth, ambitious organisation.Strong commercial finance expertise, with a track record of driving profitability, margin improvement, and commercial decision-making.Deep knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, management accounting, scenario planning, and risk mitigation.Skilled in institutional investor relations/Private Equity and board-level communication.Tech-savvy, with experience using automation, analytics, and systems to drive both efficiency and insight.Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused.Experienced in banking relationships, lending, and capital structuring.A collaborative and inspiring leader who can empower and grow teams.Salary and Benefits
