The successful Head of Fire Engineering will work closely with the Director, overseeing the fire engineering department, driving technical excellence and supporting the strategic growth of the consultancy.

• Lead, manage and develop a team of Fire Engineers, ensuring high standards of technical delivery.

• Oversee complex fire engineering projects, fire strategies and performance-based design solutions.

• Take responsibility for departmental performance, resource planning and project delivery.

• Mentor senior engineers and support recruitment, training and team development.

• Maintain strong relationships with key clients, architects, developers and approving authorities.

• Drive business development, commercial performance and the continued expansion of the department.

• Work alongside the Director to shape the consultancy''s long-term strategy.

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is essential.

• Extensive experience within a fire engineering consultancy environment.

• Proven track record of leading, managing and growing fire engineering teams.

• Strong technical knowledge of fire strategies, performance-based design and complex building projects.

• Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations, BS 9999 and relevant fire engineering standards.

• Strong commercial awareness, leadership and client relationship management skills.

• Experience managing departmental budgets, resources and project profitability.
