A well-established multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their London team. With a strong track record across residential, regeneration, public sector and community-focused property projects, this is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Quantity Surveyor looking to take a more influential position within a growing consultancy.
The successful Associate Quantity Surveyor will lead commissions from early feasibility and cost planning through procurement, construction and final account. Acting as a senior contact for clients, the Associate Quantity Surveyor will provide commercially focused advice while coordinating with project managers, building surveyors, design teams and contractors to achieve successful project outcomes.
Beyond project delivery, the Associate Quantity Surveyor will contribute to the development of the wider cost consultancy service. This will involve mentoring junior colleagues, maintaining key client accounts and supporting opportunities for repeat and new business. The position would suit an Associate Quantity Surveyor who enjoys combining technical Quantity Surveying with leadership and relationship management.
Associate Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:
Leading cost management commissions across refurbishment, regeneration and development projects
Preparing and reviewing cost plans, estimates and project budgets
Managing tendering, procurement and contractor appointments
Overseeing valuations, variations, change control and final accounts
Advising clients on commercial strategy, contractual matters and project risk
Managing senior client relationships and attending key project meetings
Mentoring Quantity Surveyors and supporting their professional development
Contributing to fee proposals, repeat business and wider team growth
Associate Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline
MRICS qualified or possessing equivalent senior-level professional experience
Strong UK PQS or cost consultancy background
Proven experience independently leading pre- and post-contract commissions
Sound knowledge of JCT contracts and UK procurement routes
Experience within residential, regeneration or public sector projects would be advantageous
Strong leadership, commercial and client-facing capabilities
In Return:
-75,000 - -85,000 per annum
London-based role
