You will manage a designated portfolio of properties, working proactively with tenants to prevent arrears while ensuring compliance with housing legislation and council procedures.What You Will Do as a TA Recovery Officer Maximise rental income and recover outstanding rent arrears across temporary accommodation and council-managed properties, managing a designated portfolio of approximately 1,900 properties. Prepare legal documentation, manage possession proceedings and represent the Council at County Court possession hearings. Take appropriate enforcement action, including attending evictions alongside Enforcement Agents where necessary. Proactively prevent and reduce rent arrears through early intervention, tenant engagement, home visits and targeted recovery campaigns.
