Multi-Trade Operative (Carpentry & Plumbing)

In this role, you will be the face of our responsive repair service, ensuring our customers receive efficient, reliable, and expert maintenance that keeps their homes safe, functional, and comfortable.

• Deliver high-quality responsive repairs across a wide range of carpentry, plumbing, and masonry tasks, both internally and externally.
• Ensure all work complies with building regulations, health and safety legislation, and industry best practices.
• Act as a professional ambassador, maintaining positive relationships with customers and keeping them fully informed throughout the repair process.
• Use mobile technology (smartphones/tablets) to accurately record job progress, timesheets, and material usage.
• Manage your van stock efficiently and procure materials through approved suppliers to ensure a first-time-fix service.
• Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment in excellent working order.
• Collaborate with other team members to support a seamless service for our residents.

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade, or significant time-served experience in carpentry, masonry, and/or plumbing.
• Proven competency in non-core trade tasks.
• Full, clean driving license.
• Physical capability to undertake demanding trade work.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to upholding organizational values.
• Ability to pass a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (funded by the employer).
