About The Role The role involves managing the professional community of Maths teachers to ensure high attainment and to develop a love of learning in all pupils. As our Second in Charge Maths Teacher, you will ensure meaningful learning takes place for our students by teaching engaging and effective lessons. You will be a motivator and inspiration for our pupils and ensure they make rapid and sustained progress. Key responsibilities: To build a culture of high expectations in Maths and to deliver great outcomes To plan, resource and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard, thereby ensuring meaningful learning takes place and pupils make rapid and sustained progress To continue the development of the curriculum in Mathematics - at Key Stage Three through alignment to and development of Maths Mastery; at Key Stage Four and Five through rigorous planning towards the GCSE specification To coach and mentor developing teachers within the department To fully implement all academy routines and techniques for creating a culture of high expectations To contribute to the enrichment, extra-curricular and raising aspirations programmes To contribute to the effective daily working of the academy.
