They are looking for a Commis Chef that can assist in the kitchen and overall contributing to the success of the restaurant, conferences and banquet events. The successful candidate will be organised and be able to work independently as well as be able to follow instructions. This position would require some flexibility on evenings and weekends depending on the event schedule for the week. The salary on offer for this role is up to £25,396 working 40 hours a week. Main responsibilities for the Commis Chef are:Ensure all dishes are correctly garnished before being sent to relevant outlets.Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner as befits the Restaurant - given timed goals and constraints.Taste all dishes to ensure correct taste.To ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum and preventative measures that incur wastage are fully understood.Ensure portion control policy/standard plating instructions are adhered to.Achieves on-job training targets as appropriate.Ensure work area is kept clean, hygienic and organised.Ensure that all equipment/utensils in the section are correctly handled and maintained.Ensure any equipment that is not safe is reported immediately to Senior Chef on duty.BenefitsCompany pensionDiscounted or free
