Cloudflare’s Billing Engineering Team builds and maintains critical systems for billing, payments, usage metering, aggregation, invoicing and revenue recognition—powering billions in revenue and serving millions of customers. We are rebuilding our entire billing platform and designing a metering and aggregation layer that scales while ensuring financial accuracy. This is high-impact, high-stakes work touching Cloudflare’s products like AI, Zero Trust, Edge Compute, Bot Management, DDoS Protection, and more.As a Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a team of engineers across Cloudflare’s ecosystem. Lead a team of engineers responsible for building and maintaining Cloudflare’s billing and payments infrastructure, ensuring scalable and highly reliable financial systems.Oversee development that supports billions in revenue and millions of customers and enables new product launches.Lead the design and execution of a next-generation financial infrastructure that ensures financial accuracy and seamless performance.Grow and mentor a high-performing engineering team; set clear expectations, provide feedback, and foster an environment where engineers can thrive.Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, data science, operations, and support to align technical decisions with business objectives.Communicate effectively, manage priorities, and navigate a fast-paced environment to drive success.Help shape the future of Cloudflare to support rapid growth and evolving product ecosystems.Desirable Skills, Knowledge And Experience

Experience leading a team or multiple teams of senior and staff engineers.Experience working with cross-functional teams and communicating technical direction for large cross-company efforts.Comfortable leading and hiring a team that builds backend systems and frontend parts of the product.Strong planning, team-building, and execution skills to meet commitments with predictability.Experience building developer-loved APIs at scale.Proven track record in hiring, on-boarding, and professional development of engineers.Ability to explain both why and how decisions are made.Experience implementing tools, processes, instrumentation, methodologies, and removing blockages.Comfortable managing teams with tight deadlines and short release cycles.Bonus Points

Experience building massive distributed systems.Experience leading teams in financial infrastructure, payments, billing, and data infrastructure.Compensation
