You will be able to build a positive relationship with the learner and create a calm, supportive environment where they feel comfortable engaging with education.Experience supporting young people who have barriers to mainstream education, including anxiety, school avoidance, disengagement or SEMH needs, would be highly desirable.This is an in-person tutoring role and is not online work.The role may involve:Providing personalised one-to-one English tuition to a secondary-aged learner.Supporting a young person with SEND and/or additional learning needs.Adapting English lessons, resources and teaching approaches to suit individual needs.Supporting reading, writing, comprehension, spelling, grammar and vocabulary.Identifying gaps in knowledge and areas requiring additional support.Breaking learning into manageable and accessible steps.Supporting the secondary English curriculum and GCSE preparation where appropriate.Developing confidence in reading and written communication.Supporting a learner who may experience ..... full job details .....
