They have engaged our services to appoint a confident and experienced Head of IT who will take oversight of the companies IT stack and ongoing technology transformation programme.Our client is known for supporting property developers and investors with access to funds for important property projects. Solutions include commercial mortgages, bridging finance and BTL. Our client are a leading player in their sector and ahead of the pack in terms of innovation and engagement with tech and systems that drive business performance and lending efficiency.Our client currently operates a small but effective IT team, though this is set to scale as the company embarks on its technology focus and growth. Reporting to the CTO, you will inherit existing team members but will be expected to play the lead role in onboarding new specialisms in to the team, to meet the commercial and operational objectives of the business.The department works closely with senior leaders in operational departments, so the capacity to communicate across the business is a critical requirement for the Head of IT.As Head of IT you will be responsible for setting and overseeing policies and strategies that drive best practice and support the needs of the business. You will take full responsibility for IT governance and protecting the business from associated threats.Critically, you will play a key role in the ongoing tech development and business transformation programme, which is driving growth objectives for years to come.Define the overall IT strategy and roadmap to achieve business objectivesBuild and grow the internal IT function in scale with business growthEstablish IT governance, policies and procedures for all aspects of the businessDrive innovation, digital transformation and continuous improvementOversee IT Security and Cybersecurity in all aspectsMange servers, networks, storage and data centresTake oversight of the company CRM and API tools (Salesforce and MuleSoft)Oversee software development and IntegrationOversee the companies Desktop support function to drive productivityEnsure full compliance with relevant data protection laws and expectationsLead the development of robust data governance policiesDrive the adoption and effective use of BI platforms and analytics toolsManage all external IT vendors of the companyProven experience in a senior IT leadership roleStrong knowledge of IT operations, infrastructure, security and service managementHands on experience of Salesforce and MuleSoftExperience managing IT teams in growing businessRelevant certifications (Eg, ITIL, CISSP)Exposure to cloud platforms (Eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Salary will be complemented by access to our client''s favourable bonus structure too, which will significantly increase year on year earnings.The focus for 2025 and beyond is very much on business transformation, driven by technology.
