Are you a patient, compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a strong background supporting children with PMLD and complex needs?We are recruiting for a PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the Merton SM4 area, working within the Early Years provision and supporting children with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex additional needs.The school supports pupils aged 3-19 with PMLD, severe and complex learning difficulties, Autism, physical and sensory disabilities and complex health needs.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about specialist education and understands the importance of high-quality, personalised and sensory-based support for children with profound needs.The RoleAs a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will:Provide 1:1 and small-group support within the Early Years setting.Support children with PMLD and severe and complex learning difficulties.Support sensory development, communication, cognition, physical development and independence.Deliver and support sensory, play-based and personalised learning activities.Use appropriate communication strategies to help children express their needs and engage with learning.Support pupils with physical disabilities, sensory impairments and complex health needs.Assist with personal care, feeding and mobility where required, following appropriate training and care plans.Follow individual EHCPs, learning plans, care plans and health protocols.Work closely ..... full job details .....
