You''ll lead the group''s financial reporting through a busy period, keeping the external reporting cycle on track and the team supported. The role Lead the preparation of Group and subsidiary financial statements under IFRS, including the annual report and the half-year and quarterly reportingManage the external audit process and be the main point of contact for the audit teamTake the lead on complex technical accounting matters, write technical papers, and present conclusions to senior stakeholders and the auditorsWork with commercial and operational teams on areas such as revenue recognition, capitalisation of assets and IFRS 16Review balance sheet reconciliations, journals and key period-end controlsManage and support a team of around eight in the financial reporting functionHelp optimise a recently implemented ERP system and develop how AI is used in reportingDeputise for the Group Financial Controller when needed About you Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA), ideally ICAEW or ICASRecent technical financial reporting experience in a listed (PLC) environment, including exposure to FRC matters Strong IFRS knowledge and confident working with external auditorsHands-on leader who can manage a team and still roll ..... full job details .....
