Supervising Social Worker

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per year (depending on experience)

Location: North East England (Durham, Newcastle & Sunderland)

Job Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Hybrid – 1–2 days per week in the office

An Independent Fostering Agency in the North East is currently looking for a passionate and motivated Supervising Social Worker to join their growing fostering service on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated social worker who is committed to supporting foster carers and making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting a caseload of foster carers across Durham, Newcastle, and Sunderland
• Providing supervision, guidance, and support to foster carers
• Ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding for children and young people
• Completing assessments, reports, and required documentation
• Working collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration
• Experience within fostering, children’s services, or a related area
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Passionate about supporting foster families and improving outcomes for children
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car
