I am working with a well-established organisation in Cambourne who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day transactional finance function. This role would suit someone with previous finance experience who is looking to develop their skills across both accounts payable and accounts receivable.Key responsibilities: Processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate accounts payable records Managing customer invoices, receipts and outstanding balances Assisting with payment runs and supplier statement reconciliations Processing employee expenses and ensuring supporting documentation is complete Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations Responding to supplier and customer queries in a professional and timely manner Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end processes Providing general transactional finance and administrative support as required The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in an accounts or finance position Good understanding of transactional finance, ideally across both AP and AR Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems Clear communication skills and the ability to manage routine queries effectively This is a good opportunity for an Accounts Assistant seeking a broad transactional finance role.
