About the Role

Supply Desk is working with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Watford to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2025.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons for KS1 pupils (Year 1 or Year 2)
• Assess and track pupil progress in line with the National Curriculum
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation, independence, and confidence
• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with SEN
• Promote good behaviour and social development in line with the school''s values and policies
• Liaise with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents/carers to support pupil achievement and wellbeing
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including staff meetings, planning sessions, and events

andzwj; What Weandrsquo;re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• Experience teaching within KS1 (Year 1 or 2)
• Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Passionate about supporting early learning and child development
• Hold or be willing to obtain a clear, enhanced DBS check
