Hire Desk Manager (Temp to Perm)

Location: Rainham

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 6:00pm

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: 29K - 35k (depending on experience)

About the Role

Our client, a successful and growing hire company based in Rainham, is looking for a proactive and organised Hire Desk Manager to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and customer service skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing a small team. Full product training will be provided, so previous hire industry experience is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of the hire desk
• Coordinating customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Processing hire orders, quotations, and contracts accurately
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Scheduling equipment hire and ensuring timely delivery and collection
• Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth operations
• Managing and supporting a small team to achieve business objectives
• Handling customer queries and resolving issues efficiently
• Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
• Supporting the wider business with administrative tasks as required

What We''re Looking For

• Previous experience in an administration, customer service, or office management role
• Experience managing or supervising a small team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
• Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Positive, hands-on approach and willingness to learn
• Reliable, professional, and customer-focused
